Nobody Expects The Vat Egg Imposition

Nor should they. Hailing from the leafy climes of Headingley, Leeds, and alarmingly not-something-you-just-dreamt, ovo/container hybrid Vat-Egg and his human band mates Ste, Neil, Arriel and Ged knock out a tightly packed sandwich of not exclusively food related pop songs. But yeah, ok, most of them at least mention food. Food is important.

‘Don’t Slag Off Neil Burrell’ follows in the infectious footsteps of 2020’s ‘You Don’t Understand Marmite’ and ‘Sheriff of Nottingham.’ A typically droll hymn to tolerance and the giving of flapjack, the song comes with B-side ‘Alone in Music’, which tells the story of an underground community making music no one in the world above ever hears. But they like it down there.
